Jonathan Whitney, Entertainment Technology graduate, completed a placement at Warner Bros. for which he won the School of Creative Technologies Placement Student of the Year award. He tells us about his placement and why he doesn’t think he’d have been able to get his graduate job at nDreams if he hadn’t done a placement.
Fresh Relevance, the marketing hub for online retailers, has welcomed the fourth intake to its successful annual intern programme including our very own Graphic Design student, Ben Edwards.
Kieran Knight graduated from Computer Animation in 2017 and won the IBM Award for Best Creative Technologies Project at the School of Creative Technologies Graduate Awards. Kieran completed a placement year in 2015-16 and now works for world-renowned visual effects company, Foundry.

Once again the Creative Careers team was pleased to be invited to celebrate the achievements of graduates in the School of Creative Technologies. We were really impressed to see how many former placement students won awards.
Best Placement Student: Jonathan Whitney, BSc (Hons) Entertainment Technology
Of course, we had to start with the winner of the Best Placement Student award. Eliana Lee-Gibbons, Industry Liaison Manager, Creative Careers, presented this award to Jonathan Whitney. Jonathan completed his placement year at Warner Bros as a Creative and Marketing Intern and is now working as a Creative Artworker at nDreams, the largest UK software developer to be solely focused on creating virtual reality entertainment content.
CCI students continue to impress employers with showcasing their creativity. Hampshire-based recruitment agency, Solutions 4 Recruitment celebrated the 2017 Creative Student Awards Final which is designed to recognise and celebrate the plethora of creative talent across the UK. Nearly 50 shortlisted entries, 10,000 votes and 5 shortlisted finalists later, the CS Award 16/17 winner was announced to be our very own BA (Hons) Interior Architecture student Jodie Howard.
